Ambrosius Lamm of Dresden (12) Handpainted Porcelain Plates, each monogrammed with MM. These are very fine handpainted Dresden lunch/dinner plates. Each boarded in a deep evergreen beneath an intricate gilded work, built up carefully in a complex profusion of flowers set amongst elaborate gilt scroll and a collection of urns scrolling and adorned with beads bordering and finished in burnished encrusted gold, a level of execution that is consistent with the finest works produced by Ambrosius Lamm's Dresden shop, this work of art remains in simply gorgeous condition.
For any serious collectors of Dresden porcelainworks, particularly the highly sought-after works from the shop of Ambrosius Lamm, this is a wonderful investment grade find. Each plate is slightly scalloped with solidly gilt embellished with tiny gilt paste beading above the well of each plate. Stamped on verso with the blue lamb and Dresden 135. Monogrammed in raised gold "MM" on verso. Please note only (2) plates have (1) bead (the size of a pencil point), slightly worn.
They are the last two pictures shown. Due to their age these plates are in mint condition and have never been used. No utensil marks, cracks, crazing, repairs or chips on any of these plates.They were only used as display plates. Each are approximately 9-1/2 in diameter.
