Condition: three of the petals with frits to rim. The Qilin is a fire-breathing horned animal with hooves, the head of a dragon and the tail of a Buddhist lion. It is a good omen, related with the birth of sons and the imminent birth or passing of a great sage. It is frequently depicted with the feng huang (phoenix), another good omen symbolic of good fortune, luck and signal of a virtuous ruler.
