Vintage HUGE CHINESE PORCELAIN VASE Hand Painted Color Floral Design Giant Size. A giant Chinese vase, measuring 4.5 feet tall, having hand painted depictions of life in ancient China and colorful floral patterns. Set your entry foyer or living room apart with this large (4 feet 6 inches tall) Chinese vase. Intricately decorated, this vase depicts life in ancient China, complete with Chinese writing on the side and floral pattern transferware on the neck.

Chinese ceramic ware shows a continuous development since the pre-dynastic periods, and is one of the most significant forms of Chinese art. China is richly endowed with the raw materials needed for making ceramics.

The first types of ceramics were made during the Palaeolithic era. Chinese Ceramics range from construction materials such as bricks and tiles, to hand-built pottery vessels fired in bonfires or kilns, to the sophisticated Chinese porcelain wares made for the imperial court. China had a monopoly on porcelain production until relatively recently, and porcelain is also often called "china" in English.

Large vases such as this one's pattern were used to decorate the entryways, foyers, halls, and chambers of rulers and rich landowners. They bring a eye catching style to any room.

As stated before, this huge vase is 4 feet, 6 inches tall, and has a base of 12 inches (1 foot) and is 20 inches at its widest. The vase is in very good condition. There is a slight chip on the base, though this is not very noticeable. The gold rim has a stamp on it, which is obviously something done at manufacture.

In addition, some of the orange writing on the side of the vase, just below the inscription, has faded with time, but this only serves to enhance the vintage look of this giant vase. This huge vase will make quite the impression in your entry foyer, living room, office, or just about anywhere you choose to put it. Ask to have it blanket wrapped.
