PAIR of 1860s Antique Porcelain Figural Oil Lamps European Hand Painted EUC
VERY RARE PAIR of 1860s Antique Porcelain Figural Oil Lamps. Exceptionally fine detailed, hand painted works of art. Comes with original hand blown chimneys which have only slight tiny edge chips, no cracks, and some charming age/process pitting. Originally came with Holmes Booth & Hayden / Atwood #1 burners which were destroyed when electrified. Has original #1 Fine Line collars in excellent tight condition. The floral images on the fonts are slightly different on all 4 sides of the pair. Painted details on fonts are near perfect with only some gilt loss. One font has surface cracks. The painted detail on the boy and girl figurines are excruciatingly precise and lovely. The paint on both is especially bright and clean with only minor age wear.
I could find no chips or cracks on the boy and only a surface crack on/under the girls arm. Overall height is 23.5 tall. Figurines alone are 9.0 tall. Figurines up to burner bottom are 13.5 tall. Chimneys alone are 10 tall.
