DESCRIPTION : Here is a 19th century Royal Worcester hand painted porcelain moonflask on a celadon ground in the Japonesque style. Relief moulded and finely painted. To one side there are four ducks on the edge of a lake, with one duck flying above, a tall water plant and a gilt crescent moon.
To the other side is a single duck on the edge of a lake and a tall water flower. The moonflask has a full gilt pierced handle to each side of the quatrefoil shaped neck.
The top and bottom rims are gilt lined. Marked to the base with remanence of a red Royal Worcester crown and circle backstamp.There is an incised shape number 290 which is called Duck pilgrim vase in the Royal Worcester book. Dates to the 1870's. SIZE : The moonflask measures 9 1/2 inches high and 7 1/4 at widest point.
Weighs 730 g before packing. CONDITION : The moonflask is in excellent condition and has no issues.
