19thC FINE Chinese Antique Hand Painted Flat Porcelain Plate with Guangxu Mark. Offered here is a very nice antique Chinese porcelain hand painted plate made in the late 19th century.

The plate is beautifully crafted and hand-painted; outlined in fine, gilded detailing against the blue and white porcelain backdrop. The outer rim is edged with a debossed pattern that has a wonderful texture with a lovely in-hand feel as the reverse side is embossed with the same pattern along with overlaying details. The plate is of an especially heavy, reinforced design. The porcelain within each tiny embossed leaf is thinner than the rest of the plate; wonderfully hand detailed this way so that when held up to the light they become translucent and the leaves glow a sky blue that can be seen on both sides of the plate. It is in good condition with no damage.

There are tiny glazing nicks on the edges of the rims, a common characteristic in antique porcelain with very little wear. The colors are vibrant and crisp and the glaze has remained perfectly glossy despite its age. Please refer to the photos to carefully assess.

On the backside is the Guangxu Marking, written in Chinese indicating the dynastic period in 19th century. Measurement: Diameter: 7(18cm) The item offered is guaranteed authentic and as described.
