Large antique Limoges France Hand-Painted Porcelain tray, decorated a lion in the center, signed by the famous artist L. Golse, marked by Union factory which was in business from about 1909 until 1938 and Robert Haviland Factory after 1924. Robert Haviland was the grandson of Charles Field Haviland.
He established his own porcelain company around 1924. He was not connected with Haviland and Company or Theodore Haviland. He also did not become the successor to his grandfather's firm Charles Field Haviland under Major Limoges Companies. That mark has been used by his company since that time. Robert Haviland was associated with Le Tanneur until about 1948, and with C.
The company is currently in operation. Measure: L 18.7" (47.5 cm) x L: 11.2" (33 cm) x H: 1.75 (4.5 cm). It's in very good condition, with no chips/ cracks/ repairs/ hairline..
