Please read the whole description! On offer is a Chinese Ming Dynasty period Swatow Blue and White Porcelain Charger.

It is approximately 34.5 cm long/wide and 7.5 cm tall. Fired circa 1600, hand-painted freely with a central medallion of a phoenix. Floral decoration on the edges. Made for the South East Asian market.

This is a classic Ming Dynasty blue and white Swatow charger. They are very popular with collectors, especially the ones with no major damages! Recently sourced directly from Japan. This is a must have for any collector of Chinese porcelain!

Condition Report: This charger is in very good condition, especially considering its age! However, there are some/many blemishes.

Numerous firing faults that have resulted in various surface hairlines, dents and loss of glaze. But these are not damages, they were there in the first place. What matters is the fact that there are no major damages.

Pieces of this size and age, have normally much more serious damages, including massive cracks and repairs. It is very rare for a porcelain piece of this size to survive without some kind of damage.
