A Pair of Antique Chinese Zhangzhou Swatow Ware Export Blue & White Plates. A lovely non-matching pair of Chinese Swatow ware blue & white export plates with hand-painted'tree of life' pattern. The smaller plate has some indistinct Chinese markings to the reverse. Both plates date to the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. The larger plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

The smaller plate has two chips to the rim but no cracks. Both plates have some surface ware / scratches from everyday use. Please see pictures for more details. The larger plate is 17.5cm diameter, 3.3cm tall and weighs 300g. The smaller plate is 15.6cm diameter, 2.8cm tall and weighs 247g.
