Rare antique 17th century Chinese Transitional Blue & White Jar with cover. Painted with figures, clouds and banana tree, Height: 29cm, diameter: 19cm widest. There are many frills at the edge of the cover, the rim of the jar and the foot rim that is quite usual found in Chinese transitional porcelain pieces. As that is shown in photos there are cracks running from the mouth of the jar running to the middle of the jar then carry on to 2cm above the base.
There is a tiny lost of triangle porcelain (about 1mmx5mm) at the belly of the jar in the middle of the crack line. No restoration can be found.I have being collecting Chinese antiques since 1997.
