Antique Czech Hand Painted Porcelain Miniature Portrait Pendant Brooch with Box. This gorgeous antique early 1900s Czech dual purpose Pendant/Brooch features a wonderful hand painted miniature portrait of a beautiful young lady in traditional dress wearing an elaborate necklace. The portrait is painted onto a porcelain panel which is set into its original Brass patterned frame which was once a Pendant and still retains its original loop so can still be worn as a Pendant if desired. The frame has a slightly later addition of a white metal frame back with a secure pin and a rollover clasp enabling it to be used as a Brooch as well as a Pendant. The Brooch comes complete with its box as shown.

The porcelain panel has raised serial numbers on the reverse'5544 45'. My on-line research dates this serial number to an (unknown) Czech jewellery company operating in the early 1900s but sadly I cannot find any more information than that. The Brooch measures 2" x 1.6" and weighs 19.3g. It is in excellent antique condition as shown with no damage to the painted panel - Age early 1900s. The box measures 3.4" x 2.6" x 1.

It is in fair antique condition as shown with a good working hinge and a secure clasp. Unless otherwise stated, our vintage and antique jewellery is not cleaned. This is due to many requests for vintage jewellery to be left in it's original condition. Vintage jewellery will almost always show signs of wear.
