Antique hand painted French Sevres style porcelain plate with a portrait of Napoleon I in his coronation robe. The underglaze cobalt blue rim is over painted with gilded designs. Although this bears an old Sevres mark, our guess is that this is a pseudo Sevres mark and not authentic.

Please research this on your own if this matters to you. Likely dating from the last half of the 19. Century, our guess is that this was hand painted using a porcelain blank made in Limoges, France. Napoleopn I with a overglaze printed Sevres style mark with M. Imp=le de Sevres and an original retailer's paper sticker L.

CURIOSITES 1 Boulevard de la Madeleine. In very good antique condition free from chips, cracks, damages, repairs or restorations. There may be a few typical slight factory original imperfections possibly including glaze dimples, specs, or paint and color variations. None are visually obvious or distracting unless noted. Maximum diameter is about 9 7/8 inches.
