Antique Hand-painted Bavaria Porcelain Tankard Pitcher Bauer, Rosenthal & Co

  

For your consideration, we have a hand- painted porcelain tankard pitcher by Bauer, Rosenthal & Co. The tankard is 12" high and about 8 1/2" from spout to handle. A fancy rococo molded pitcher with high handle and spout and molded scrolls.

Hand painted all over above the glaze with a pale blue & violet ground, and clusters of berries, pink blossoms and multi colored leaves. A feathered technique used on the handle and base; looks like gold loss but is not. Marked in green on the bottom BRC Bavaria with a crown, the stamp used by the Bauer, Rosenthal Company. Excellent antique condition without chips, cracks or repairs; rings like a bell. Paint, including the gold is excellent.
