Identified by his prominent cranium this figure is Shoulao, the Chinese god of longevity. Here he is depicted Riding a horse Instead of The Dragon But Shows Off The Safe Kept Pearls Frontside & Backside.

His Robe is decorated with the Chinese characters for longevity (shou) And many many more Important Etchings. On his backside is a Huge Sacred Bird Swooping In With Massive Spanned Wings They Are Evident. The Porcelain Is Of Fine Material And Really Almost Looks Like Ivory Our Thought Is Top Biscuit Porcelain Of Course. All Great Colors From The Kangxi Era are used the greens cucumber and dark, that pretty vibrant pink and the blue has that iconic purplish tint to it.

There Is Great Detail Throughout Including Dynasty Style Characters Within In A Red Stamp On One Side Of His Robe. If i were to list all shown it would take up the entire page, but with huge meaning this is a given. Vividly Bearing One Of the Known Kangxi Marks Lavishly Painted just beneath Shoulao and the Horse, Underneath Base Along With Plenty Of Floral Depictions To Compliment The Kangxi Period. A Royal Symbol Covers the Outer Exterior Of The Base Wrapping All The Way Around Completly.

Shoulao Is Depicted Happy and full of Joy Deeply Cut Eye Sockets And Mouth Ensure You Are To Notice This Fact. He Is Depicted Halting The Horse To Admire His Accomplishments Most Likely In Front A Ongoing Crowd Of Admirers. The Horse Agrees And Shows Full Dedication, Loyalty And Respect By Along With The Crowd Lowering His Head Almost As If In Prayer. The Blueish Purple Ban Wrapping Around The Immortal's Waist Up To His Head Has Great Importance Also. Note the Aged Material In Which This Statue Was Made It Has Small Dark Specks In A Few Areas On The Base. Refer To The Base Photo This Is Indication of Original Technique Used Along With Great Material. Just looking at this Great Statue one could tell that this is not a Modern Piece. This Masterpiece Verifies It's Value In Size Standing 18" Tall 6" x 6 in Total Wow. The Base Is Huge Giving This Piece Overall Landscape Radius and Once Again Is Standard For Ivory Carved Pieces. But Once Again We Are Not Claiming This Is Ivory But This Was Styled To Seem As So At least.

Note I Would Like To Include That There Is Nothing Wrong With His Head. The Main Photo Is A Close Up To Give You Insight Into The Texture Of His Face Awhile Trying To Capture As Much Of The Statue As Possible Being 18 Tall This Was Impossible. Looking At The Back Depiction Photo Will Show You That His Head Is Virtually Untouched. If More Pictures Are Requested We Have No Issues Sending You More Directly.

Perfect Outstanding Decor, Mantle Piece Or Collectors Item. Such Important Unique Figures With Extensive Depiction In Great Detail And Shape Are Rarely Seen On The Market Now A Days. Pictures Are Included Showing Minor Damage To The Base Area Around The Horses's Hoof Please Refer To The Base Depicted Photo Shown Outdoors. Most Collectors Have This In Mind And Have These Area's Applied So That This Will Not Happen. There Is Also A Hairline Crack Depicted In The Next Photo Showing Close-Up Of The Horse's Lower Leg.

This Is A Very Small Crack And Once Again Is Due To Age And Upper Statue Weight. Once Again A Slight Clear Sealant Apply Around The Hoof And On Horse's Leg Is All That Is Needed To Give You Many Many More Years To Come In Your Collection. Update We Would Like To Lastly Mention That The Material In Which This Statue Is Carved Could Also Be Washed Clean Ox Bone.

This Is Not A Rushed Project Apparent Rare Marked Upper Base And Underneath The Statue To Add To Authenticity This Statue Is Heavy And Not Light..
