Jewelry: 1910 - 1939 Art Deco. ANTIQUE RICHARD KLEMM DRESDEN HAND PAINTED CABINET PORTRAIT PLATE COBALT BLUE. Offered here is an antique Richard Klemm Dresden portrait plate decorated in an eye-catching cobalt blue and gold paint. Influenced by the Rococo movement, golden swags and scrollwork circles both the outer and interior portion of the plate.

In the center sits a elegantly hand painted scene of a man and a woman going for a stroll. 8" Diameter x 3/4" High. The piece is in very good to excellent condition with one manufacturing bump at about 10 o' clock when holding the plate with the portrait up straight. No crazing, cracks, or chips.

Really amazing condition considering this plate is over 125 years old! Marked under the glaze with the Richard Klemm "RK". Symbol and the blue crown symbol above it which indicates that this piece was constructed before 1891.
