Art Deco Rudolstadt-volkstedt Hand Stand Painted Pierrot Signed Porcelain Figure
Description: Here is an uncommon German Art Deco Rudolstdt-Volkstedt figure of a pierrot doing a handstand. Designed and signed by Anton Büschelberger to the base. Dates to c 1920s / 30s. Transfer mark to base with an R and a crown in blue. Numbers 4146 scratched into the underside of the base. Condition: There are four small surface chips to the base, please see photos 8,9 and 10. There are areas of paint ware notably on the bottom of the shoes, the socks, to the black lines to the bottom of the Pierrots top, and underneath the Pierrots hat. (see photos 2, 4,5 and 6). Minor paint ware to the blue bobble on top of the hat (photo 7). Gilt ware to the cap and to the gilt line around the base. Please check out a similar Rudolstatdt - Volkstedt Pierrot I have listed.
