Hinese 18th Century Large Deep Dish, Circa 1770. Finely decorated in a vibrant blue colour a large deep canted rectangular dish. The central large panel with a variety of living dwellings in the foreground including tea houses with hills and rocks and a walled garden with lucky cash coin-formed bricks surrounded by pine, prunus and willow trees(the 3 friends of winter). The houses are surrounded by a river with a humpback bridge with two figures. The far ground with more rocks and houses, sampan on the river and birds in flight overhead and mountains in the far distance.
The inner border with a lucky cash coin decoration interspersed with floral cartouches. The outer border with plum blossom, chrysanthemum, peony, curls, key fret, scale work, fish roe, plain diamond work and butterflies.
It would look better with new glue. Easily removed if not required.
