Chinese famille rose hunting bowl, Qianlong (1736-95), decorated with European style figures hunting with dogs, diameter: 26cm, 11 1/4 inches 28.3cm. Chinese porcelain with sporting subjects were particularly popular in the latter half of the 18th century in England and America. Painters in Canton used Western prints as a model for the hunting scenes porcelain.
