A SMALL AND VERY RARE RETICULATED BOWL 9CM IN DIAMETER. PIERCED SIDES IN BETWEEN CIRCULAR PAINTED RESERVES WITH SMALL PAINTED LANDSCAPES WITH A ELL BORDER AROUND THE RIM AND BLUE LEAF BORDER AROUND THE BASE. BOWLS OF THIS TYPE WERE DISCOVERED ABOARD THE HATCHER CARGO C1643, SEE " THE HATCHER PORCELAIN CARGOES-THE COMPLETE RECORD "(SHEAF, KILBURN) PLATE 53.

THIS BOWL IS FINELY CUT AND WELL PAINTED. All between pierced cash-style devil's work ground, above a band of lappets and beneath a band of scrolls at the rim, the interior white, the base unglazed. EXAMPLE: PLEASE SEE MARCHANT ANTIQUE.
