Decorative Antique Bowl, Aristocratic, Classical Design, Original Artefact. When obtained this bowl was marked as a pin holder but I feel this is a mistake given its grandeur and ornate glitter. The 3 portraits give us a hint of its possible use - all have elaborate hairstyles with different accessories so the bowl may have been used for a wide range of fashionable beautification products like ribbons bonnets and hair clips. However, in its own right it is a beautiful dish. I have not been able to discern the mark on the back so it is difficult to know the true value of the piece. Please do let me know if you can figure out which antique logo design that is. I do find it interesting that someone seems to have tried to de face it by scratching it off.

I think that the bowl is of Russian heritage because of the design, portraits and the excessive but ornate gold even on the back of the rim - this points to a Tsarist wealthy female owner. 8cm in diameter at the base. The pictured art is the same item that you will receive.
