Early Coalport England Hand-painted Floral & Vine Porcelain Sauce Tureen

  
The sauce tureen has a hand-painted floral and vine pattern in red-orange and green with black leaves or berries extending down the stems off of the flowers. Gold gilt accents adorn the rims, finial, and handles. The sauce tureen stands 5 3/4" tall with the lid in place and it measures 7" from handle to handle and 4 1/4 across the other direction. The sauce tureen is unmarked, but numerous documented examples in this form are attributed to Coalport. The overall condition of the sauce tureen is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, or repaired areas and there is only faint staining inside the base from use at one time.

The hand-painted colors and gold gilt remain intact with virtually no wear or loss that I see. There is standard light wear to the base rim as expected.
