Fine Dated 1850 Antique German Hand Painted Porcelain Topographical Tray Gotha

  

DESCRIPTION: Antique hand painted porcelain tray or cake tray. Dates to the 1850 (actually dated 1850). Nice shapely tray with ornate handles. The center has a beautiful detailed hand painted topographical view. The back has a sentence written in German "Zur Errinerung an den Juli 1850" which translates to "To Commemorate 1850".

Very good to excellent condition for age. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Hand painting beautiful and in very good condition.

Upon close inspection you may notice a small light tiny scratch off on the side on the painting. Some very light wear to gold gilding.

Measures about 12 1/4" (handle to handle) and 14 3/4" corner to corner. We have been long time collectors and dealers of early English Transferware, Quality 19th century furniture, and Victoriana. We always strive to describe the items to the best of our abilities. All items we sell are old and will show appropriate wear and tear, the pieces will not look brand new. We are only responsible for the item while in our possession.
