Up for your consideration is a rare set of hand-painted cabinet plates by Royal Worcetser, c. Each piece depicts a historic English location, and is artist signed and numbered on the underside. Please note that these are the rare & early version of these plates, with a scalloped gold gilt rim. These were likely painted in editions of 250 or less. The later versions are transferware without gilt or the scalloped edges. All 12 plates are in superb, unused condition. They are free of chips, cracks, or crazing, and the gilt shows virtually no wear. Each plate is 10.75 in diameter. There are 10 different plates, and two "doubles". The plates included are Durham Cathedral, Kenilworth Castle (2), Pembroke Castle, Anne Hathaway's House, Le Paul's from the River (2), Tewkesbury, Worcester Cathedral, Windsor Castle, Mary Ardens House, and Arundel Castle.
