Guangxu Chinese Famille Jaune melon ginger jars lotus flowers, Qianlong red mark

  
Of globular melon shape with stalk-finial lids; yellow ground bodies are ornately hand-painted with polychrome pink, blue and green enamels. Intricate nature motif depicting foliage, lotus flowers and butterflies; the jars are trimmed at the top and at the base with geometric borders. Red seal mark to base with double outlines - Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi - "Great Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, Made". 27 cm tall to lid finial. 21.5 cm tall to rim. 21 cm across widest point. Tiny chip to the rim of one lid.
