Meissen Hand Painted Plate Enameled Yellow Dynasty Doves Floral Marked 7.75 EUC

  
I have seen this pattern called "Yellow Dynasty" once on the secondary market, but have been unable to locate other examples of this extremely rare design. An earlier Meissen piece, it features a painted yellow ground with a gilt and burnt orange gadroon border. This piece also has painted vines and blooms on a cobalt ground outer border. It possesses an elaborate Neoclassical design of foliated scrolls.

This design separates two oval medallions with cobalt blue and gilt doves drinking at a fountain. Two chrysanthemum rosettes in burnt orange and blue also decorate this exceptional Meissen artwork.

This piece is marked with blue underglaze crossed swords with pommels on the back, which denotes production circa 1815-60. Two lines incised across the mark indicating that it is a second choice or "medium good" (the top grade being "good") from 1852, or "second choice with painting" since 1869.

Excellent, preowned condition with NO chips, cracks, or crazing. A fine scratch or two (please see photographs to gauge the overall quality of this exceptional piece).
