Definitely an Asian influenced ginger jar or urn form; however, the hand painted decoration is more so one of an European family or military crest. The Latin word "Audeo" (to dare, to risk) is written below the crest.
Condition, standing 7 5/8 to the top of the finials. No chips, cracks, crazing or stains. The colors are vibrant, the gold embellishments are strong and the glaze has a high sheen. Some very moderate gold lost, primarily on the finial of each lid. Regardless, spectacularly decorated and display amazingly well. It looks as if these pieces were very cherished and well kept. Please review all photos for overall condition, design, and dimensions.
