Porcelaine de Paris Vintage French Chinoiserie Famille Rose Hand Painted Lamp. The lamp base bears the blue mark of Porcelaine de Paris, the famed Rue de la Pierre-Levee decorating studio. Porcelaine de Paris came under the direction of Robert Bloch in 1914 who was responsible for the revitalization of the company and the establishment of a new factory 200 miles south of Paris. The lamp is beautifully executed in bright white porcelain with ancient Chinese inspired lines. The piece has a striking Chinoiserie famille rose design with fine detail and rich color to the hand painted floral décor with birds and butterflies.

The porcelain insert measures 15" high and 9" in diameter, the overall height is 28 ¾ high. The lamp is in excellent condition with no damage or noted wear to the porcelain or fitted wood base. The brass fittings have a warm original patina. The piece retains its original gold rayon covered cord which shows wear, it'll replace the cord if you desire.
