Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Porcelain Dog Incense Stick Holder / Candlestick. This is a fabulous 19th century famille rose incense stick holder in the form of a recumbent dog. Later fitted with a gilded sconce (also 19th century) for a candle.

See a similar pair in last image. CONDITION hairlined in two places to the dogs mouth, rim of incense holder has been ground to fit gilded candle sconce - as per images. The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
