Qing Dynasty Porcelain Ceramic Hand Painted China Vase Chinese Figures Excellent
This is a lovely Qing Dynasty, early 20th century, vase that was turned into a lamp in the mid 20th century. Production facilities, snapped up large productions of these vases and others like it and converted them into lamps in the mid 20th century. The Qing dynasty is a period especially noted for the production of color glazes. Qing potters succeeded in reproducing most of the famous glaze colors found in ceramic wares of the Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties. In addition, they created a variety of new glazes, thus bringing vibrant energy to Chinese porcelain art. During the Qing dynasty, potters began using bright colors to adorn plates and vases with meticulously painted scenes. Potters continued developing five-colored ware by applying a variety of pigments to floral, landscape, and figurative scenes-a style which was (and is) highly sought-after in the West. The lamp hardware is damaged and untested.
The lamp hardware is just an extra bonus. The item is approximately 14 inches tall. The vase itself shows almost no visible signs of wear, tear or damage. This will in no way affect the quality of your item.
