Shipwreck Chinese Export-ware Blue & White Porcelain Saucer "Ca Mau". Beautiful early 18th Century Qing (Emperor Yongzheng, 1722-35) Chinese export-ware. A stunning 300 year old piece of art! The saucer is subtly lobe moulded in shape, rather in Kangxi style. The wreck is dated to c. Good shipwreck condition - a couple of minor frits / firing flaws / discolouring. Beautiful slight egg-shell blue to the white over glaze, distinctive of the period. From the Sale "Made in Imperial China, Chinese Export Porcelain from the Ca Mau Shipwreck, Circa 1725", Sotheby's Amsterdam January 2007 with sale label(s).

The scholarly work in identifying the wreck allows for a high degree of confidence in dating the porcelain which is very reassuring that the item is completely genuine and original to the date. 120mm (at widest point) x 23mm in height.

The Ca Mau Cargo c. In 1998 fishermen uncovered the wreck of a Chinese junk near Ca Mau in southern Vietnam.
