Great condition 11 1/2 signed P Roche Circa 1860 no chips crazing or repairs. Sevres styled porcelain vases with delightful figural scenes of a fair maiden and cherub in a forest with a basket of flowers, signed by artist P. Roche, it dates circa 1860, France. It features an oval shaped porcelain body, hand-painted in colors of teal, violet, blue, yellow, pink, brown and green, and decorated with embellishments of foliage and gold throughout, with a metal beaded rim, curved metal handles and metal foot. Beautifully designed and painted, The champlevé work on this piece is beautiful; with colorful enamels painted over a ground turquoise base color, and highlighted with raised Gold Leaf paint.
On the front of the urn is a hand painted garden scene it would be perfect for a unique gift, or a collector of fine art objects. I always try point out any visible damage but please be reminded that most of the items I sell are quite old, where crazing and wear and tear is not easily noticeable.
