Spectacular Antique Cauldon Vase Hand Painted 14 Brown Westhead & Moore
A spectacular large Cauldon Ware pottery vase, dating from the second half of the 19th century, and made by the renowned Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co factory in Staffordshire, potters to Her Majesty Queen Victoria. This stunning piece stands at approx. 14 / 36cm tall and is hand painted on a largely unglazed ground with colourful anemones and daffodils, with gold embellishment, on a cream background, reminiscent of Worcester porcelain. This is a true collector's piece and would grace any serious collection of English pottery and porcelain. In great condition for its age, no chips or cracks, a couple of scratches to the unglazed decoration, an example can be seen in the photo, but this does not detract from the beautiful appearance of this special piece.
